Hundee Development International (HDI) is a nonprofit organization established to serve marginalized and underserved communities in the eastern part of Oromia, Ethiopia—areas long affected by poverty and in need of both humanitarian and development support.

HDI emerged from extensive discussions among concerned intellectuals, business entrepreneurs, and community leaders in the diaspora, culminating in its founding forum at the Oromo Community Center in Minnesota in December 2024. Guided by a shared vision of empowerment and resilience, HDI is committed to creating sustainable solutions that uplift vulnerable communities and foster long-term transformation.
